| Description: The museum of the Mayan Medicine jointly with the Organization of Indigenous Doctors of the State of Chiapas A.C. (OMIECH, A.C.) manage a place where the different aspects from the Mayan traditional medicine are shown. This center lodges the different areas from the association: Museum of the Mayan Medicine, Women and Midwives, Herbolaria, Communication, Administration and the General Consultancy office. The small museum which is very illustrative and the pharmacy where medicines prepared with the traditional plants are sold occupy the main buildings. |
| Work: The place needs an improvement of its garden of traditional plants as well as of other areas of the center. To follow the first workcamps carried out during the spring, the volunteers will carry out works of improving of the garden, will delimit and clear some areas where future projects will develop. And finally they will realise material of promotion and information of the museum in their own languages if time allows it. The volunteers will experience some indigenous traditions and ceremonies. |

| Description: The San Juan Bautista de Yecapixtla ex-convent, built in the 16th century by the Augustans, is part of the 16th century ex –convents Route at the slopes of the Popocatépetl, named UNESCO’s World Heritage Center in 1994. Every year, the village celebrates the nomination of the site with a cultural festival. |
| Work: The volunteers will participate in the preparatory works of the event, in the organization of puppets, handcrafts and lecture workshops. They will help out in the setting up of the different places where the workshops will take place and will support in the promotion of the event as well as in the picture taken, video filming and interviews of visitants and participants to the event.

| Description: The Cotzaselch cooperative has organized several international workcamps this year with very interesting and rich exchange experiences. The cooperative is a lasting project to the benefit of the village of Tzajalá. With its factories of traditional jewelry shop, its experimental agro-ecological farm (horticulture, composting, coffee planting, medicinal plants, etc) the cooperative develops projects of sustainable development in total agreement with the nature. The volunteers will carry out works of agriculture - Earth preparation, as well as works of construction and will rehabilitate several of the cabins in the community Ha O Mek Ka. |
| Work: The volunteers will have the opportunity to carry out diverse manual works of horticulture, composta, lombriculture, work in the farm among others. |

| Description: FUNCEDESCRI leads training sessions and workshops within our partner communities in order to help empower families to achieve food security and food sovereignty. |
| We work with our families to create comprehensive farms that include family gardens, farm animals, the use of organic fertilizers, a composting latrine, water filtration systems, etc. |
| Work: Volunteers who come to Cunén would be able to help us with establishing different components of the comprehensive farm model within our communities and at the center in Cunén. This could include maintaining and fertilizing fruit trees and plant nurseries. Volunteers would also be able to help a specific family with all of the elements of their comprehensive farm and would learn about the planting and preparation of medicinal plants. Our center in Cunén has a medicinal plant clinic and volunteers would be able to plant medicinal plants and learn about their different curative properties. |
